The hall is a decommissioned WW1 hut from Belton Park Camp, which has been used for many purposes in the village over the years including – dances, theatre productions, social clubs, a youth club, Post Office, playschemes and mother and toddler groups, private functions, as the church hall and a meeting place for the Parish Council.

The hall is a central hub for the community of South Luffenham and the surrounding area. There are regular classes and activities, social events run by the hall and the village church and it is also available for private hire. The hall has recently been extensively refurbished while maintaining many of it's original features and preserving it as a historical building and now offers a new kitchen and accessible toilet facilities including baby change, an outside decking area and superfast Wi-Fi capability. They are also fully licensed
