Thurnby Memorial Hall is the largest and oldest established local community facility, intended for use by all local residents without regard to their backgrounds. Whilst it is close to St Luke's Church and well used by the church, it is an independent facility and not a church hall. Accommodation is available at the hall in four different sized rooms. The Main Hall has a curtained stage. There are disabled access and toilet facilities. Booking enquiries are welcomed for both daytime, evening and week-end events. Local community and activity groups run on a non-profit basis are given preferential charging rates. The Main Hall can seat up to 100 people with the second hall and both meeting rooms being variable on seating.
