Community Facilities, Groups & Clubs

Re-open, Re-start & Recover Fund

This is Covid recovery grant funding being made available by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and being administered by the RCC.

Please complete and submit this form to apply for a small grant to help your village hall, community hall, community sports facility, community library or community centre safely reopen and recover following the Covid-19 lockdown.

In addition to the above, we are now extending the grant scheme to allow sports clubs and physical activity groups to apply for support. This could include, but is not limited to, football & rugby clubs, and tennis & bowls clubs for example. It also includes groups and activities such as dance, yoga or other physical activity, either indoors or outdoors.

It may be that you own your club house or changing rooms, or that you lease or hire a local hall or facility in which you meet or play. Either way, you may be eligible for a grant to help you restart activities after Covid-19.

Grants up to £500 are available to pay for hand hygiene materials, signage, screening, outdoor seating or shelter, additional cleaning supplies/services, or personal protective equipment. Grants for other items will also be considered, just let us know what you are buying and how it will help you re-open, restart and recover.

We are also very happy to receive applications for a grant to cover the costs of publicity and promotion to support you in restarting your club or group activities. This could include running an open day, buying advertising or the design and distribution of leaflets etc.

To be eligible, we ask that you are a not for profit organisation, including Parish or Town Councils, and are based on the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth. We will consider applications from commercial instructors, such as yoga / dance etc but we will ask you to tell us separately a little more about how you benefit a local Hinckley and Bosworth community.

  • We have made the application process as simple as possible
  • There is no deadline for applications - Grants are offered on a first come first served basis
  • Maximum grant - £500
