Centre Stage: "River's Up"

7.30pm - 9.30pm at Humphrey Perkins Community Centre, Cotes Rd, Barrow upon Soar, Loughborough LE12 8JU. River's Up is a small masterpiece. Funny, tragic and a poignant love story, this play could be said to be a working man's Titanic! Tom takes trips up the river while Sally works at a local supermarket. Together they discover the true consequences of global warming as local flooding turns into a nightmare, leaving them floating out to sea with little more than a tin of beans and a can of cat food, perhaps the only people left alive. When the river's up and the chips are down, do you drift apart or pull together? Whichever way you look at it, it's sink or swim. Join them on their sometimes funny, sometimes poignant journey in this domestic tragi-comedy of epic proportions.

Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company has been touring high quality, challenging and entertaining theatre to people in Oxfordshire and beyond for 30 years.
