Rural Stress Support Team

A certain level of stress can be good for you, but if you are experiencing increasing anxiety over any emotional or practical problem, please get in touch with us. Living in a rural area may mean you or someone you know feels isolated or unable to approach different problems.
We are here to help. Call us on 0116 261 3121. or send us an email to info@ruralstress.co.uk. We have a network of volunteers that live in rural situations and appreciate the difficulties of rural life.
We also have a network of agencies that can offer practical help on specific issues, and we are happy to give you their details.
You do not need to be a farmer to feel stressed in the countryside; you may be a single mum in a village with no transport, you may be trying to run a rural business and finding it difficult. Sometimes just being in a rural situation with any kind of problem at all ratches up the anxiety. Maybe you just want the chance to talk to someone you don't know. Give us a bell.
You may also find the Mind website very helpful, as they have downloadable information on lots and lots of topics that may be relevant to you.
