Leicestershire and Rutland Playing Fields Association
The Association is a registered charity which aims to:-
• Encourage provision of recreation facilities for all age groups particularly in village communities.
• Provide basic advice and information on the planning, design and construction of indoor and outdoor facilities for sports activities, and support research.
• Specialise in children and young people’s recreation.
• Raise funds and give financial assistance to further these objectives.
• Co-operate in saving threatened recreation facilities.
To achieve this, the Association provides a range of services:-
• Give free technical help on matters relating to sports facilities management and finance, children’s play and external funding sources.
• Making interest free loans for new facilities and small starter grants and loans to new clubs or activities.
• Putting the case for sport and children’s play wherever it needs to be presented.
• Monitoring and reacting to threatened playing fields
• Organising training courses and events
• Acting as banker for several sports development funds.

Maximum grant £500
Must be matched by applicants contribution
To start a new sports club or new section or age range within existing club
Interest Free Loans
Maximum loan available is £5000
Repayment over 5 annual instalments
