Markfield Parish Plan

The Rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland) is arranged a community open day held in the village of Markfield, Leicestershire. This event invited the residents of Markfield to talk, liaise and be advised by many different service providers and organisations who work or have an interest in the area.

The aim of the event was firstly to gain thier views about the parish and how they would like to see it change over the next 5 to 10 years and to secondly increase the social capital and community spirit of the area. The RCC worked very closely with Hinckley and Bosworth LSP and the Markfield Community Association to make this event a success.

The results of this event are being analyzed by the RCC and hopefully will be presented in an action plan to the parish council and Markfield Community Association

Market Bosworth Parish Plan

Market Bosworth parish plan group have been running for almost a year now and have just circulated their parish plan questionnaire to the community. Soon the group will start to analyze the results from the completed questionnaires

The group meets monthly, usually at the Dixie Grammar school in the village. All residents are welcome to attend the meetings. For meeting times and dates please contact Charlotte Burt on 0116 268 9708 or cburt@ruralcc.org.uk

Bagworth and Thornton Parish Plan

The members of the Bagworth and Thornton Parish Plan group have finalised their report and will be launching it to the public and service providers very soon. Once launched the group will be working with the Parish Council and local Neighbourhood Action Team to implement all of the actions that have been identified.

Cadeby Parish Plan

The residents of Cadeby decided in September of last year to start the parish plan process after an open meeting held in the church hall. They are currently undertaking a small consultation with all households in the parish to identify what issues affect those people living there. This will formulate the basis of the parish consultation.

Barwell Parish Plan

Barwell Parish Council have decided to undertake a parish plan after a presentation given from the RCC. The next meeting of the parish plan group is on Wednesday 30th July at 7pm in the parish council offices. All welcome
