This very well attended event took place on 28th February at Melton Borough Council, providing advice and information to local groups about funding sources and how to access them. Visitors from as far away as Cambridgeshire and Worcester attended.

The day was a great success, with over two hundred and fifty visitors. There were over twenty exhibition stands and a very well attended workshop agenda.
Patrick Shore, the Rural Community Council Funding Officer, who coordinated the event in partnership with Voluntary Action Melton and Anna Oultram, Rural Policy Officer at Melton Borough Council said: "This is a great way for local community groups to find out how to go about obtaining funding. The range of schemes and bodies can be very confusing so by gathering them all together it makes it much easier for groups to work out the best way forward."
A whole range of funding bodies were represented from national schemes such as the Big Lottery Fund through to more localised schemes specific to the county. Exhibitors include Clockwise Credit Union, Grantfinder, Lloyds TSB, ProHelp, Business Champions, Sports Relief, Community Foundation, Boots Fund, Leicester Toolkit and the Regional Office of the Lottery Fund.
