Free Rural Advice Training & Information Sessions
SESSION 1 NOW FULLY BOOKED.

The RCC is hosting two free training and information sessions for rural communities in Leicestershire as part of the new LRP Rural Advice Service. The free sessions will focus on tackling a range of rural issues, and provide communities with an introduction to a number of Big Society initiatives including:
• Neighbourhood Planning & the Localism Bill
• Community Led Planning
• Good Neighbour Schemes
• Environment Groups and Energy Efficiency Schemes
• Rural Broadband Projects
As well as introducing each initiative, and outlining the latest news on Big Society and the Localism Bill, RCC officers will be on hand to provide tips and advice for initiating a project, gaining support from the community, recruiting volunteers, and also with sourcing funding to cover project costs.
