Greetham Community Centre
Greetham Community Centre came about through the inspiration of a few members of the village, following a very successful 1977 street party celebrating the Queens Silver Jubilee. It was concluded that a permanent social and recreational facility was needed to cater for the needs of the local community. Land was acquired and local residents built the centre, at minimal cost. Since the early design the centre has been expanded and the facilities improved, again mainly through the efforts of local people with some grant assistance.
The Community Centre currently enjoys charity status, is managed by a 15 strong committee of volunteers, with any profit ploughed back into the project to further improve the facilities. The Centre now has its own part time manager to help facilitate the day to day operations of the many and varied users.
