The Communities Cutting Carbon project is here to support communities in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to act on climate change in their local area.
To achieve this, Communities Cutting Carbon:
- is helping ten communities to plan and carry out local projects to act on climate change
- has offered close to £50,000 in financial support through the Climate Friendly Communities grant fund
- organises regular knowledge-sharing events, including training and networking sessions and group visits to sites of interest
- offers support and resources to community groups across the sub-region, including a regular monthly e-newsletter, a Green Directory, Local Case Studies, loans of useful equipment and more
