Equipment for loan
The RCC has a wide range of equipment available for loan to support communities to cut their carbon footprint. The equipment available includes:
- Thermal Imaging Camera - A camera that can be used to capture infra-red thermal images of buildings. Useful for community projects to identify homes and buildings needing insulation. Available for short or long term loan each winter to community groups, parish councils and community building committees.
- Community Greening Packs - These packs contain useful resources (energy monitors, water saving kits) and information (how-to guides, short films, leaflets) and can be borrowed and distributed by community groups, parish councils and individuals to help a local community to reduce its environmental impact.
- Lightbulb library - a comprehensive selection of energy-saving bulbs that can be passed from household to household or used at events to raise awareness of energy-saving options for every lighting need
In addition to the above, other equipment available for loan includes:
- Spare OWL sensors to attach to electricity meters so that the OWL electricity monitor can be used with 3-phase meters (in community buildings) or with economy 7 meters
- Equipment for public events. This can include display boards, electronic equipment (projector, laptop, extension leads) and tools for consultation (e.g. voting tubes, ideas walls, etc).
In each case, contact the Communities Cutting Carbon project to discuss your requirements.
