Community Greening Packs

Our Community Greening Packs have been put together to help people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to reduce their environmental impact, at home, at work and in the local community.

Each pack contains practical tools to try out such as energy monitors and a wide range of useful information from local organisations.

The packs are designed to be loaned out to individuals and/or community groups for 1-2 weeks, and passed around the community over several months to enable everyone receiving the pack to learn and take action to reduce their environmental impact.

We are grateful for support from GOEM (Government Office for the East Midlands) for providing funding for the packs.

What is in each pack?

Each pack contains a range of energy saving products which can be tried out and useful sources of information. For full details, see the Contents Sheets at the foot of this page.

• Severn Trent water saving kit
• Powerdown device for TVs and PCs

Information:

• A copy of the Green Directory for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
• A DVD of short films and useful resources
• How-to guides and case studies on local environmental projects

Receive a pack

We have a total of 10 packs available to communities across the local area. In each community we invite a local co-ordinator to manage their use, ensuring that the pack is circulated to as many householders and community groups as possible.
