Ashby 2020

A grassroots initiative established in 2010 to help those who live and work in Ashby de la Zouch to engage with sustainability in the themes of: energy, food and water, waste, travel, commerce and finance and the built environment. The project is part of the Ashby de la Zouch Town Centre Partnership.
Activities
- In May 2011, Ashby 2020 held an Ecoteams training event using funds from a Climate Friendly Communities grant. Ecoteams is a programme which helps people to reduce their environmental impact in a supportive group setting.
- The group has held regular stalls in Ashby town centre since its inception, including a stall held for Big Switch Off week in October 2010.
- Ashby 2020 held a launch event in May 2010, attended by more than 50 local residents.
