Barrowden and Wakerley Parish Plan

Barrowden and Wakerley are linked by the bridge over the River Welland and have been part of the Burley Estate since 1551. The two villages were further linked by shared school facilities and the coming of the railway in 1875. Although the line was closed in 1966, the villages continue to share close associatin though the Village Church, the WI, the Village Hall and the monthly parish magazine.

The Parish Plan was completed in 2005 following a consultation in which 245 people took part.
