Formed in 1924, the RCC is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.

The RCC is part of a network of Rural Community Councils, located in each county across England, all with a specific interest and involvement with rural affairs.

Our aim is to provide help and support to those who live and work in rural Leicestershire & Rutland. To this end we are involved with a wide range of projects and issues, all of which are becoming of increasing importance as the quality of rural life, and the services provided for rural communities, deteriorate.

Through this website we intend to keep you regularly informed about the range of services we provide, updating you on topical news and information about the projects we are undertaking throughout the region. Moreover this site provides you with the facility to communicate, not only with us, but also with the wider communities across Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond.
